The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) has released a revised version of draft regulatory document RD/GD 360, Long-term Operation Management for Nuclear Power Plants for additional consultation.
The CNSC previously released for public consultation draft regulatory document RD-360 version 2, Life Management of Nuclear Power Plants, and draft guidance document GD-360, Guidance for Life Management of Nuclear Power Plants, in July 2011. All comments submitted during the public consultation period have been carefully considered and the content has been revised where appropriate. Documents GD-360 and RD-360 version 2 have also been converted to RD/GD-360 version 2, Long-term Operation Management for Nuclear Power Plants.
RD/GD-360 version 2 sets out the requirements and guidance of the CNSC with regard to the activities a licensee shall undertake to prepare for and manage the safe long-term operation of a nuclear power plant, and to prepare for and manage its safe end of operation, leading up to its decommissioning.
The public, licensees and interested organizations are invited to comment on this revised document. To submit comments, please do so by the date noted below. The comments submitted, including names and affiliations, are intended to be made public. You will not receive a formal reply to your comments; however, they may be reflected in a report to be issued at a later date.
Please contact the CNSC if you have any questions or comments about the draft regulatory document consultation process.
